Implementation of the Shahid Zainuddin highway project using AkaBit AD modified bitumen 

Shahid Zainuddin highway is one of the east-west highways of Tehran city. Due to the density of urban structures in the region, this highway is one of the most important communication arteries of Tehran, which plays the role of backbone in the highway network of Tehran.

The material used for the asphalt of this highway has a high percentage of silica. In the case of this type of material, the resistance is higher, but the possibility of cracking also increases. Due to the attention of the respected client of the project (Tehran Municipal Engineering Organization) and the project consultant (Faradid Company) to the quality and moisture durability of asphalt, which is very important in the strength and longevity of asphalt, the use of AkaBit AD to the project contractor (Paksarshan Company) It was announced. The asphalt pavement project of Shahid Zainuddin highway was carried out in 2015 using AkaBit AD modified bitumen.
