Gud Abali Road is located in the northeast of Tehran. Due to the high traffic of trucks carrying construction debris, this road is subject to heavy traffic. . Due to the importance of asphalt quality in this project, the employer informed the contractor of the necessity of polymer modified asphalt, and this project was implemented in 2016.
High-traffic roads, which are the path of heavy vehicles, are subject to damage due to heavy traffic and carrying heavy loads. Many of the problems that have arisen on the surface of these roads are due to the insufficient elasticity of the asphalt layers. In addition to imposing heavy costs on the custodians, the damages created in the asphalt pavement of these roads also cause many safety risks. Therefore, the use of polymer modified asphalt in these roads can help their quality and efficiency and significantly increase the service life of the asphalt.
AkaBit EL64 polymer modified asphalt has a combination of plastomeric and elastomeric advantages. It increases the resistance of polymer-modified asphalt against dynamic creep, rutting and cracking and increases the softening point and shear strength.
