Jame Mosque, Tehran Bazaar, is located near Imam Khomeini Mosque, and the nearest way to reach it is 15 Khordad St., Jame Mosque Alley. This mosque is the oldest mosque in Tehran and before the revolution it was the only comprehensive mosque in Tehran. Due to the historical and religious importance of this building and its location in the market of Tehran, the ways to access it are also important.
In order to increase the lifespan and resistance of asphalt, the respected employer (Tehran Region 12 Municipality) in Jame Bazar Masjid Alley project, informed the project contractor (Chemisy Al-Gazal Company, which is also active in the field of colored asphalt) to use polymer. This project was implemented in 2015 using AkaBit EL70 polymer modified bitumen.
Asphalt pavements are exposed to many failures such as cracks, fatigue, etc. due to their flexibility. At present, the roads and passages of the country are implemented using traditional hot asphalt, which is produced with granulated stone materials and pure bitumen. The insufficient durability of this asphalt in bearing the pressures has brought its average useful life to less than five years in the country, which has led to the allocation of huge funds and funds to this industry and every year it causes a lot of capital to be wasted. Therefore, knowing the high volume and daily addition of vehicles and increasing traffic on one hand and the short life and numerous failures of common asphalt procedures on the other hand, the need to use durable asphalt seems essential. In this direction, using polymer modified asphalt with excellent performance characteristics is a suitable and cost-effective solution, and it has been successfully used in developed countries for years.
