Implementation of asphalt in BRT route in Valiasr, Tehran by using AkaBit EL70 

 

 

The high-speed bus line, which was opened in October 2019, is one of the main lines of Tehran’s bus system, which daily transports thousands of passengers from the northern region of Tehran, Tajrish Square, to its southern area, Railway Square.
The bus route of this line covers the entire Waliasr street, which is one of the longest streets in the Middle East. The length of this line is 17.5 km.
Also, this line has 34 stations, which are: Tajrish Terminal, Kazemi, Ferdous Bagh, Pesian, Homayouni, Mahmoudieh, Shahid Afshar, Amaniyeh, Khadjanan, Mellat Park, Niayesh, Zafar, Mirdamad, Venk, Paul, Tawanir, Hamasi, First floor, Motahari, Quds, Valiasr Square, Taleghani, Valiasr Crossroads, Republic, Jami, Imam Khomeini, Moniriyeh, Farhang, Qazvin, Modares, Molavi, Mokhtari, Railway.
This line is connected to three stations of Shahid Afshar, Valiasr and Molvi stations, respectively, with lines 4, 1 and 2. Also, Tajrish terminal station is located next to Line 1 of Tehran Metro and Valiasr Intersection is located next to Line 3 of Tehran Metro.
In order to increase the strengthen of asphalt and prevent cracking, the implementation of BRT Valiasr polymer modified asphalt was done using AkaBit EL70 modified bitumen.
