Considering the importance of the quality of asphalt in the terminal area due to the large amount of daily traffic, the respected employer notified the contractor of the implementation of the polymer asphalt project for a part of the southern terminal area of Tehran, and this project was carried out in 2016 using modified asphalt.
Due to heavy traffic, bus terminals always bear a lot of traffic and their asphalt is subject to damage. Therefore, it is necessary that the asphalt used for the area of these places is more durable than the areas with less traffic load, that is, its elasticity is higher and it has more resistance against damages such as cracking, rutting, and shrinking. . Therefore, the use of polymer-modified asphalt in these roads can help their quality and efficiency and significantly increase the service life of the asphalt, so the polymer asphalt project is necessary for these areas and a lot of cost It can reduce asphalt maintenance.
